Will bee pollen kill the good bacteria in my gut?

by Jerry E.

HI ANGELA,

JUST ORDERED YOUR POLLEN.

HAVE ONE QUESTION,

WILL THE NATURAL ANTIBIOTICS IN THE POLLEN HARM GOOD BACTERIA ( FLORA) IN THE HUMAN GUT?

THANKS,

JERRY EICK

HI Jerry,
Great question. I've never been asked that one before. I have read all of the literature on bee pollen and never come across anything that suggested that bee pollen does this. Its also been my experience in dealing with thousands of customers using bee pollen that this doesn't occur as we'd get an endless amount of complaints about stomach issues resulting from the use of bee pollen and we don't get this. In fact, we get the opposite.

Bee pollen and probiotics

I take a probiotic supplement everyday. Can I take bee pollen also, or should I just take bee pollen.

Angela's comments:

Yes, you certainly can take a probiotic and for the most part, taking both bee pollen and a probiotic is generally recommended.

Hi just wondering if i mix bee pollen with my probiotic kefir milk whether the kefir bacteria can die from anti bacterial properties in bee pollen? Can i mix the two? Thanks

Great question. No, the bee pollen will not kill the bacteria in the Kefir.
