Which form of royal jelly is best?
by David

So, I've taken royal jelly in the past and know what it is. What I don't know is what form of it is best (most nutritious, etc.) and how much per day you really should be taking.
thank you,
DIB
Hi David,
You will obtain similar benefits from either a quality freeze dried product or a fresh frozen product. As for how much to take per day, it really depends on why and what you are using it for. If you give me more details, I can make a recommendation for you.

Forms of royal jelly
I have purchased a freeze dried powered capsule type which says 6% HDA. I bought from a local healthstore a capsule type but is not the powered type capsule . It looks like there is some white jelly substances inside. But the HDA stated is only 2%. I understand that iherb is also selling a fresh type of royal jelly (non capsule) that needs refrigeration.
My question is how come the jelly capsule types does not require refrigeration?
Does the potency gets affected without refrigeration?
Is the freeze dried powdered types the best? Somehow I could feel an effect after taking the jelly capsule type too.
Shall I focus on the HDA value alone which making purchase choice?
Thank you.
Regards,
LG
Angela's Comments:
The royal jelly capsule with fresh jelly inside doesn't require refrigeration because the capsule is completely sealed. No air/oxygen is able to get into the capsule so no oxygenation occurs. The potency will not be effected.
I wouldn't say that the freeze dried form is best but it is at least as good. And because the 10-HDA content is much higher, you just might experience a better effect. I personally use a 6% freeze dried capsule daily.

Royal Jelly caps as good as the Fresh Frozen?
by Therese
(California)
Hello,
I have a question about RJ. On your website you recommend taking the fresh/frozen RJ over the powder or capsules... My concern is I would end up skipping days if I was trying to find foods to hide the fresh RJ in daily therefore capsules seem like a more convenient choice that I could be more regular with. However, I would like to reap all the benefits of taking RJ. How effective are the capsules in comparison to the fresh/frozen? I would be taking RJ for all benefits but primarily lowering chilestrol.
Thanks!
Therese
Hi Therese,
Great question. We have found that the capsules and powder (it is the same royal jelly used in the capsules as the powder) work just as well as the fresh frozen royal jelly. This could be due the concentration of the powder (it is twice as potent as the fresh royal jelly) but also due to the quality of royal jelly used. It is freeze dried so the vitality if maintained.
I hope that helps.
Angela

What is the best form of royal jelly?

I like to ask you what is the best (that you possibly can get best benefit) form of royal jelly: raw, powder or capsules?
Raw always seams most beneficial but since you are the expert I like to get your advice before place an order.
What else you will recommend (I got arthritis, psoriasis and heart disease - I got heart attack in past and open heart surgery) besides royal jelly? Do I should try Bee Pollen or Bee Propolis?
Thank You.
jerzy.
Angela's Comments:
Great questions. In therapeutic cases I recommend our Royal Jelly 3X Concentrated powder as it is twice as potent as the fresh royal jelly. (it is the 3X powder in our capsules as well) The 3X powder has more 10-HDA than fresh royal jelly so that is why I recommend it.
I would also recommend propolis for your arthritis as it is showing to be effective for this in recent studies.
For your psoriasis, I would recommend our Beeswax Skin cream. We get wonderful results using it for psoriasis and ezcema.
You can read more about it here:

If you have the budget, use the GLA Skin Oil as well (internally)

Hope that helps!
