I don't remember where I read it and whether it was about Bee Pollen, Royal Jelly, or both but I heard that it is important to take breaks while taking them over extended periods of time because the antibacterial properties could potentially harm the bacteria in your intestinal tract. For instance, you would take Royal Jelly or Bee Pollen for 15-30 days and then take a break for 15-30 or as long as you could afford. Is there truth in that statement or is it just false information?

Hi Josh,
I tend to agree that you should take a break from all supplements. I have not come across any research or experience suggesting that royal jelly or bee pollen kill the healthy bacteria in the gut. In fact, I would think that it would be the opposite and that they may in fact help feed the good bacteria. If you can find this information and send it to me I'd love to read it. Personally, I take a one week break from all supplements every 8 weeks.
Bee healthy,
Angela
