Hello:
I am just wondering if this is normal. I started taking bee pollen about 5 days ago, and have a huge sinus and head cold. Is this a normal process? I am extremely healthy and normally get sick. I started with the bee pollen to alleviate my sinus problems. I sprinkle about a teaspoon on my toast in the morning. The bee pollen came from a local apiary, but I've just emailed them to see if it's from their farm or from somewhere else.
I hope you can shed some light on this for me.
Sincerely,
Sarah
Hi Sarah,
I wouldn't say that a head and sinus cold is normal per say but it certainly could be linked to the bee pollen. It is possible that your immune system reacted to the pollen's and that you became susceptible to a cold, which is normal especially if you have a bit of a sensitivity to pollen's and you took to much to start. Did you follow the guidelines on how to introduce bee pollen into your diet?

Following this protocol dramatically reduces any potential for reaction when beginning supplementation with bee pollen.
Hope that helps. If you stopped the bee pollen while you were sick, begin again by starting out with only a few granules per day and slowly increasing over the span of a few weeks.
Hope that helps,
Angela
