Intake of royal jelly during pregnancy

Hi, I just want you to know, I took royal jelly during my entire pregnancy and the result is a very intelligent and active baby. The boy is 4 yrs old now and has endless energy :)
It makes me wonder why they say pregnant woman should not take royal jelly?
Angela's Comments:
The reason why supplement companies often state not to take certain supplements during pregnancy or breastfeeding is not necessarily because it is dangerous but rather that there have been no 'scientific studies' done on the supplement on pregnant or breastfeeding women. This doesn't mean it is harmful or dangerous, it just means it hasn't been fully studied in a manner deemed scientific!
I also used royal jelly throughout my pregnancy (not everyday) and my baby is perfectly healthy and normal. I also have observed and witnessed many women at my parents honey shop who safely used royal jelly during their pregnancy. Food for thought...

Is it ok to continue using Royal Jelly supplements after a positive pregnancy result? Does it help to prevent miscarriages?
Angela's Comments:
Actually, yes - I personally used royal jelly during pregnancy. We have had many customers use royal jelly safely during this time but are limited as to what we can say legally. I would suggest working with a Naturopathic Doctor or your MD if you choose to take royal jelly during your pregnacy. It is a powerful supplement so error on the side of caution during this amazing time.

Take royal jelly during pregnancy?
by Serene
(Singapore)
Hi
I have been taking royal jelly capsules for two months with no allergy while trying to conceive.
I just bought a bottle of fresh royal jelly(decided to switch to fresh after hearing that it's more effective to take it fresh).
I just got a BFP after I bought it. My question is can I continue to take the fresh royal jelly now that I am pregnant?
Thanks for the advice,
Serene
Hi Serene,
I don't recommend taking royal jelly now that you are pregnant. This is not to say that it is harmful as we've had customers take it while pregnant and have healthy babies. Some of the information and research is inconclusive so I feel it is best to error on the side of caution when pregnant.
Bee healthy,
Angela
