Will raw honey pasteurize if I put in hot tea or hot oatmeal?
Angela's comments:
It depends how hot your tea is and how long it remains at that temperature. Pasteurization occurs at 70 degrees celsius (158 degrees F) but in order to kill all enzymes and healthy bacteria, it must be kept above this temperature for minutes.
