Mixing honey with water

I read somewhere that to rip all the honey benefits it should be mixed with pure water. What's your opinion?

To be honest, I have never heard of mixing honey with water. I don't understand why someone would do this as honey is well absorbed on its on as are the many compounds within honey.
What do you mean by 'rip.'
