ALLERGIES by: VANESSA K
Good morning-
I am a former child allergy shot patient. I was on them for 10 years...then I was introduced to bee pollen. I started that when I was 18 and haven't had a problem until now. I am 28 living in Florida and went through my first hurricane last year. According to all the locals it is the cause for our really bad pollen count. I do not know if that is true or even relevant. However I have had a serious sinus infection for 3 weeks now and went through 3 rounds of antibiotics and steroids and it is still not gone. The doctor thinks I will need allergy shots again. I do not have health insurance nor can I afford it. The best prices I have found for an allergist is $1000 to get started with them then $225 a month for allergy drops. I have just started taking bee pollen granules from a local honey farm about 1.5 hour from me. They are the multi colored ones and I am starting with 2 tsp and working my way to 2 tbsp a day. How long do you think it will take to start working?
Angela's comments:
Hi Vanessa, Very sorry to hear about your health challenge. It is difficult to say how long it will take to see some benefit with bee pollen for your allergies. Typically we find it takes 3 - 4 weeks, if it is going to work for you. The other thing to consider is that the bee pollen you bought should contain some of the pollen that is native to your geographical area, if possible. Attempt to find this out from the manufacturer.

Acne by: Anonymous
How long does it usually take to see benefits with acne? Thank you!
Angela's Comments:
Acne is a very complicated issue and bee pollen doesn't always help with this. In fact, I'd recommend raw honey topically along with taking bee pollen as a faster, more effective treatment protocol.
