Bee pollen proximity for allergies

I heard that you should buy bee pollen in your area for it to be most effective for allergies. How far is too far? The closest I've found it is two hours away.

It is not the distance from where you live that is most important but the floral pollen sources in your area. You want to ensure that the pollen you buy contains the pollen of your local area.
