Is been pollen good for thyroid?

Angela's Comments:

It does appear that quality bee pollen will help an underactive thyroid for some people as some pollen will contain iodine, which is essential for thyroid health.

We see excellent results when using bee pollen and a product called ThyroSmart in combination.

Bee pollen and thyroid disease?

by Sharon A.
(United States)

Hi! I am 42 yr. old woman and I am Hypothyroid after radioactive Iodine treatment for Graves Disease. I have been underactive for about 4 years now and I am taking both synthroid and cytomel for my thyroid. I've gain about 40 lbs and I have been having a horrible time taking weight off. I have been following the South Beach Diet for the last 6 months and have only lost about 10 lbs. I have friends that have been using the bee pollen and have had great success. I was wondering if you could give me some advice or tell me of any of your experiences with the bee pollen with people like myself. I'd really appreciate your honest input.

Angela's Comments:

I can definitely make some recommendations for you. Now, I haven't specifically used bee pollen with someone with Graves Disease before but we do have a great deal of feedback from customers using it for healthy weight loss. I would recommend you read my article on the bee pollen for weight loss here:

https://www.bee-pollen-buzz.com/bee-pollen-appetite-suppressant.html

I would also recommend you begin using a very good natural thyroid product called ThyroSmart. I can not recommend this product enough - it is very effective and will help get your thyroid working better so that you are better able to lose body fat. It is available for sale on our site here:

https://www.bee-pollen-buzz.com/lorna-vanderhaeghe-products.html#thyrosmart

I would also recommend you continue with the South Beach Diet. It is a very healthy and effective program and more importantly, sustainable. You may also want to consider taking some royal jelly as it has some hormone balancing properties and can help balance blood sugar, which is helpful for healthy fat loss.

Hi Angela,
Is bee pollen safe for Hashimoto hypothyroidist? I am on levethyroxine causing a lot of side effects. I lost a lot of weight while battling with H pylori, and I certainly have problems in absorbing nutrients. I am thinking of get some bee pollen to supplement as I don't like vitamin complex.

I Am Desperate to Improve My Hypothyroidism Pls help Me
by: Sudha

Hello Madam, I am a Hypothyroidism patient from last 20 years. I am taking Thyroid supplement called Eltroxin, which is artificial Thyroid hormone, but I am not experiencing any worthwhile benefits from it. I read up on benefits of Bee Pollen and would like to take it, as it could help my Hypothyroidism and for other health benefits. Also, I read that you have suggested to take Thyrosmart tablets for Hypothyroidism. But I am afraid to take it without consulting with a Thyroid specialist first. Is it safe for me to take it directly without prior consultation with a Thyroid doctor? And I live in India, do you ship this to India also? Thanks in advance.

hyperthyroidism vs zi xiu tang
by: Anonymous

I will like to know if by taking the diet pill zi xiu tang will affect my thyroid medicine and if there are any side effects. I remember reading the label and it says not recommended for people with hyperthyroidsim. But it doesn't say why? At prensent i'm taking levoxyl 150mcg. Please respond.

Angela's Comments:

If the label says not to take it while on thyroid meds, I'd highly recommend you NOT take the ZXT.

Do you have hyper or hypothyroidism?

Bee pollen and thyroid medicine
by: Chelsea Nacole

I am currently taking ZXT Gold bee pollen and I am also on Levothyroxin 112mg (which is the generic for sythroid). I have had no trouble and I've been taking both for a month now. However, just because I haven't had trouble, doesn't mean you won't. I would still talk to a pharmacist. Rather be safe than sorry.

Thanks for the input Chelsea!

Thyroid and bee pollen?
by: Anonymous

I am on synthroid, will the bee pollen be ok to take?

Angela's Comments:

Yes, most likely. Bee pollen is a food first and foremost. It is very safe to take. But when on serious medications, it is always best to check with pharmacist. They know the interactions between drugs and supplements/foods best.

You might also want to consider adding a natural thyroid product that I find is extremely effective called ThyroSmart.

Bee pollen and thyroid medication?

Can I take bee pollen since I am also taking medication for under active thyroid?

Angela's Comments:

Bee pollen has been taken safely by many who are on medication for an under active thyroid. I can' t advise you to do so but would recommend that you speak with a holistically minded pharmacist or Naturopathic Doctor.

Keep in mind that bee pollen is a food. There is nothing in it other than protein, some carbohydrates, healthy fats and some vitamins and minerals. It is not a drug.

Hope that helps,
Angela

hypothyroidism and bee pollen

Can bee pollen help hypothyroidism?

Hi there,
It certainly can due to the fact that quality bee pollen can contain many important minerals and amino acids which support thyroid health.

I get asked about a thyroid protocol regularly and what I've found to be effective is our Dutchman's Gold bee pollen (1 - 2 tablespoons per day) along with the supplement ThyroSmart.

You can read more about ThyroSmart here:

Angela

Thyroid

I had hyper thyroid and took RAI twice because the first one did not work. I have problems with dry eyes and itchy as well. Yes you can take bee pollen because of the inmune system. Also people with thyroid problems can have cardiovascular problems and bone problems. I myself had a bipulmonary embolism and a stroke without cardiac arrest. I didn't have any cholesterol no blood sugar no uric acid and my arteries were clear. The hyper thyroid caused the liver to clot the blood. I have arthritis treated with vitamin D. I am good now I am 5feet 7 inches weigh 63kgs. I take bee pollen and aloe vera juice. No problem. I am 49 had four kids. I do trecking swim a mile 3 times a week. I eat mediterranean diet always had . I am mediterranean too but when I was hyper I could eat a horse. Yes my thyroid will never work but even taking RAi some people's still works. Each person is different just talk to your endocrinologist. Here in my country we do both natural or classical medicine or a combination of both

Best Regards

propolis
by: Ken

Hey there! I am a beekeeper myself and also have Hypothyroidism. I always gather up the excess propolis and put it into a container. I made it into pill forms while it was warm and then put them into a container stored in the refrigerator. I recently started taking some everyday and I seem to be feeling better. No body aches, not as tired, sleeping better. Do you think the propolis is the cause? I know it is a good immune system booster.

ThyroSmart
by: Holly

Hello Angela:

I just wanted to comment on your comments to people that have had radioactive iodine therapy or have had their thyroid removed. If ThyroSmart will help get your thyroid working better so that you are better able to lose body fat, then it will not work for people that have had radioactive iodine therapy, because their thyroid is basically "dead" and there is nothing that can make it work at all. I'm not sure if the people that have had this therapy realize that, but just thought I would comment. I don't think you should be recommending this to them when it will not help them. Thank you.
