Bee pollen for competitive athletes

Hi, I have a daughter who will be 13 years old this Friday, She swims on a competitive swim team that swims 5 to 6 times a week. They swim for 1 hour and 45 minutes along with 15 minutes of land work each day. My husband I are wanting to make sure our daughter has all the nutrients and vitamins that is needed to perform without weightloss or injury. I just purchased your Bee Pollen granules. Looking to add them to a fruit smoothie. How much should be added and how many shakes should we do a day. I would like to do it all in 1 shake a day if I could. What are your thoughts?
Thanks,
Jana Weaver

Angela's Comments:

Hi Jan,
Bee pollen is a great way to add some nutrition to your daughters diet. You can add 1 teaspoon or more to her smoothie but before doing so, you'll need to start out with very tiny amounts to ensure she tolerates the bee pollen well. Begin with one or two granules and increase each day in tiny increments if she tolerates the bee pollen well. Some are sensitive to the pollens and can exhibit G.I. issues or respiratory allergies if they take too much too soon. Increase daily until you reach a full teaspoon per day or the desired dose.

Hope that helps,
Angela
