Animals taking royal jelly?

by chris

I feed my dogs raw food and supplement with vitamins which is usually wheat grass or bee pollen. But they are picky and usually will not eat the food with the bee pollen granuales on it so I wanted to try royal jelly. Is this okay for dogs?

Angela's Response:

Great question. It should be fine to use royal jelly with your dogs. I would caution you to start out with very, very small amounts and slowly increase the dose once you've observed their behaviour and deem them to be tolerating it well. We only give people 1/4 to 1/2 a teaspoon per day so you won't need to give your animal much.

Have you tried mixing the bee pollen into their food instead of pouring it on top? Try that - we have many customers who mix their bee pollen into their animals food.
